Following an announcement by the Company on 1 September 2008, with respect to directors’ dealings the board of Forum Energy announces that:

• Pursuant to the Forum Energy Long Term Incentive Plan, options to acquire 418,749 ordinary shares of 10p each (“Ordinary Shares”) were exercised on 1 September 2008. Application has been made for these shares, which have been issued and credited as fully paid and will rank pari passu with the existing Forum Energy Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM on 8 September 2008.
• Pursuant to the Forum Energy Share Option Plan, options to acquire 180,000 Ordinary Shares were exercised on 4 September 2008. Application has been made for these shares, which have been issued and credited as fully paid and will rank pari passu with the existing Forum Energy Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM on 10 September 2008.

In addition, pursuant to the Forum Energy Share Option Plan, on 4 September 2008 the Board was notified that a further 410,000 Ordinary Shares were exercised by past and present employees of, and consultants to, Forum Energy. These options were exercised by Forum Energy employees to enable them to accept the mandatory cash offer by Philex Petroleum Corporation for Forum Energy in respect of these shares. Application has been made for these shares, which have been issued and credited as fully paid and will rank pari passu with the existing Forum Energy Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM on 10 September 2008.

Total Voting Rights

The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury and, following the above transactions, the Company’s issued share capital is now 30,024,121 Ordinary Shares. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Forum Energy under the FSA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
