The board of Forum Energy received notification on 10 September 2008 that on 10 September 2008 Philex Petroleum Corporation (“PPC”) and FEC Resources Inc (“FEC”) (together the “Concert Party”) now has an interest in 18,483,511 ordinary shares of 10p each in Forum Energy, representing 61.44% of the issued share capital of the Company.

The Concert Party’s interest in Forum Energy Shares is made up as follows:

• PPC had an interest in 9,933,311 Forum Energy Shares, representing 33.02% of the issued share capital of the Company; and
• FEC had an interest in 8,550,200 Forum Energy Shares, representing 28.42% of the issued share capital of the Company.
