The board of Forum Energy (the “Board”) announces that it received notification on 4 September 2008 that on 2 September 2008, following the acquisition of shares in Forum Energy, Wellington Asset Management Limited now has an interest of 7,268,952 ordinary shares of 10p each in Forum Energy, representing approximately 24.21% of the issued share capital of the Company.

The Board also announces that it received notification on 5 September 2008 that on 1 September 2008 Philex Petroleum Corporation (“PPC”) and FEC Resources Inc (“FEC”) (together the “Concert Party”) now have an interest in 16,001,984 ordinary shares of 10p each in Forum Energy, representing 54.37% of the issued share capital of the Company at that time.

The Concert Party’s interest in Forum Energy Shares is made up as follows:

• PPC has an interest in 7,451,784 Forum Energy Shares, representing 25.32% of the issued share capital of the Company at 1 September 2008; and
• FEC has an interest in 8,550,200 Forum Energy Shares, representing 29.05% of the issued share capital of the Company at 1 September 2008.
